From Ugly to Unbelievable
Bring New Life to an Old Piece in our “Ugly Furniture Contest”
Is your dinette buried under runners to hide streaky coffee stains? Got a scratched, water-ringed nightstand cowering in the guest room? And what about that rickety old chair in the basement you don’t want anyone to see, let alone sit on? You know the one covered with the tattered seat cushion?
TIME TO DUST OFF YOUR UGLY FURNITURE. It’s time for a makeover. Roanoke Valley HOME is teaming up with Astonish Antique Restoration of Roanoke to present the Ugly Furniture Contest.
Simply send in a photo of your ugliest piece of furniture (non-upholstered, please) with a short description (no more than 250 words) about the item and how it came to be in its current state. A panel from Astonish and Roanoke Valley HOME will select the ugliest piece. The winning team will be restored to its original luster by the pros at Astonish. REMEMBER, THIS IS NO BEAUTY CONTEST. THE UGLIER THE BETTER.
